Formerly the John Wayne Pioneer Trail, the Palouse to Cascades State Park Trail is one of the longest rail-trail conversions in the United States.  It is a very large trail that features great areas of beauty in Washington, including six canyons and three trestles. The trail head is in Tekoa, a small town north of Pullman.
